An expedition to climb Mount Kilimanjaro via the Marangu route can be completed in just 6 days, making it a relatively short and cost-effective option. It is also the most favored route among climbers, providing accommodation in huts rather than tents. However, it's important to note that this route involves significant daily elevation gains, so a strong level of physical fitness is essential.
This route has earned the distinction of being considered the most picturesque climbing path due to its stunning trails, breathtaking views, and the awe-inspiring Barranco wall. Additionally, this route provides great acclimatization for breathing.
The Lemosho route is our preferred choice, boasting the highest rate of successful ascents. This is attributed to its initial starting point at 3,500 meters, offering a relatively level beginning to the expedition. The final stretch of this route aligns with that of the Machame route.
This brief journey is tailored for those who enjoy hiking but not quite interested in an overnight experience. During this one-day excursion, you'll embark on a hike along the Marangu Route, taking you up to the Mandara Hut. This trip typically takes about 6-7 hours (there and back included). Some may wonder.. if you are literally grabbing onto rocks, climbing. The answer is no. Imagine putting your tread meal on a high incline while trekking on slight uneven grounds.
Spend your time at the springs, marveling at the vivid blue waters and the lush greenery of the surrounding forest. Enjoy a relaxed swim or float in a serene space of your own, accompanied by the soothing sounds of lapping water and birds overhead.
Spend the day in the remote Maasai village of Loiborsoit, where you can engage in traditional activities and gain insights into Maasai culture.
The Arusha food tour is a professionally led exploration of the area's culinary offerings. This tour offers a great opportunity to sample regional ingredients and crafted goods while also delving into the rich history and culture of the Arusha community.
The snake park offers a range of experiences, including a guided exploration to acquaint yourself with some of the world's most perilous snakes such as the Black and Green Mamba, Egyptian Cobra, Puff Adders, and others.
Exploring the waterfalls of Mount Meru ranks among our preferred activities in Arusha. Following Mount Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru stands as the second-highest mountain in Tanzania, situated adjacent to Arusha National Park.
Exploring this Maasai souvenir market is an enchanting experience, offering a vibrant array of colors through beautiful traditional paintings, intricate woodwork, garments crafted from African fabrics, and a dazzling array of multi-colored Maasai jewelry. Your guide accompanies you, providing a tour and assisting in negotiating favorable prices if you find something you fancy.
If you've ever been curious about one of the world's most elusive gemstones, found exclusively in Tanzania, a trip to the Tanzanite Museum Arusha is a must! The welcoming staff offers a delightful cup of coffee as you explore, interact, and gain insights into the discovery, extraction, and processing of the stone within a simulated mine shaft – you even have the opportunity to purchase your own unique specimen to take home.
In the cooler regions of Tanzania, numerous coffee plantations await exploration. A visit to these plantations proves captivating, allowing you to observe the growth, harvesting, and processing of coffee beans that eventually become your preferred daily beverage.
