MAASAI CULTURAL TOUR

MAASAI CULTURAL TOUR ITINERARY (NATIONAL PARK INCLUDED)

DAY 1: Traveling to the village takes approximately 2 hours, covering a distance of 90 kilometers from Arusha city. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by local residents with traditional Maasai songs. Following the warm welcome, there will be a brief introduction, and a short break with a cup of coffee or tea. Subsequently, a visit to the village to explore its people and landscape will be undertaken, followed by a return to the boma (home). In the evening, dinner will be served, and the night will be celebrated with a special barbecue involving the traditional Maasai practice of suffocating a goat before slaughtering.

DAY 2: Following your morning meal, you set off for a full day of game driving in Tarangire National Park. This park, relatively less recognized among Tanzania's reserves, still exudes an authentic safari ambiance. The undulating terrain, adorned with majestic Baobab trees set against the backdrop of a vivid blue sky, is truly inspiring. After dinner, you will spend the night here.

DAY 3: Prepare to witness the world's largest gathering of elephants, as herds of up to 300 elephants often congregate around the Tarangire River, either quenching their thirst or indulging in a mud bath. In addition to elephants, Tarangire proves to be a haven for bird enthusiasts. Within the vicinity of the wetlands, you may also encounter lions, leopards, cheetahs, and even pythons that are known for their tree-climbing prowess. Lastly, we will conclude this trip by bringing you back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro airport.
